Dr. Shalini,

I read your "Yaar intha Periyar" column.

I want to know one thing.

Most of the mothers dont like what Periyar did at childhood and like the other kid who does what the say.

But they change at time& they like kid like Periyar and dont like the child who follows her.

WHY?

Who should be blamed for this?
What would be the mental stress does the other kid undergo?

It's astonishing , that what as adults we are now, has already been conceieved & nurtured in our childhood and adoloscence. We just fine tune in adulthood, I guess.
It must have been hard on Ramaswami, then to cope up with a moher who was always scanning him.It appears Ramaswami never accepted his biological Mom, as real MOM because he never connived to be pious at least to win his mother's affection. Could this maternal aversion ,have led to the development of his iconoclastic attitude(leave alone his high EQ/IQ) ?
